I did it, I got 'er stuck...but good too. I was mowing a field and was navigating around a wet spot or at least I thought I was out of the wet spot. Now, I got my 4310 stuck, like up to frame. I worked on it all day digging mud from the front of the tires and putting boards down to try and build a road, but it just keeps sinking. I finally figured out that my way is just not going to work. I will take any suggestions you guys have.

Unhook the mower.

Do you have a loader on? Can you get near it with a pull vehicle?

With a loader and without the weight of a mower I have been very successful at using the bucket to get myself out.

You could wait for it to dry or call a tow truck. The worst part is that you will only need to move the tractor a few feet and then it will drive right away as though there was no wet spot.

Since your fronts are sinking is it safe to assume that when you tried the FEL "curl/push" technique the FEL "sank" too  :(?. Jay

I tried taking the mower off, but it wouldn't come off due to the way it is congfigued in the mud. Since that try though, I tried pulling backwards and that seem to straighten the mower up, so I will try that again in the morning. I don't think I can get another vehicle that close with out it getting stuck also. I think my only real hope is getting another tractor to just come in and pull it out. How quick does lime work in drying up the mud?

Yep, been trying that all day. I would use the bucket to raise the front end up and place 2x4' 4x4's everything I have under the wheels and all of that eventually sinks too.

Chain a 4x4 to the tires through the rims about a foot longer than the tires diameter. Put your seat belt on and go slow. The longer the 4x4 the rougher the ride will be. You will drive right out. If you go forward expect the front end to come off the ground.

Wait now, say what? How do you go about chaining 4x4's to the tires. Just the front or front and rear?

Wholy Moly...........I'm speechless. I have never seen anything like that in my life. So, do you do that to one wheel, two wheels or all four?

You must be very careful. I have done with the log across under the tractor in front of the rear wheels. chain through each rim and around log. Ease the clutch out in 1st and depress it as soon as the log is far enough behind tires to unchain and set up again. Go to fast and the log can come up and get you.
If you have any trees nearby in front, you can run chain through rear rim near front of tire and to the tree. Again go easy and stop when the chain comes around to the back of the wheel, this should have pulled you one tire diameter forward.

Both methods involve some risk, but can be done. I have torn more than one valve stem off with the chain doing this, but it was a small price to pay when I had two tractors stuck half a mile in the woods.

One thing I might try first is if you can get the front wheels off the ground with the loader, throw some 4 wheeler ramps under them. It has worked for me.
