Anyone sell water to oil well companies. From my research oil wells on average need 280,000 gallons of water per well during the drilling phase. We have plenty of water and wells that can pump 60 gallons a minute to fill the ponds. From what I heard they pay around .54 per 45 gallons. Also, do most states require permits to sell water? Oil wells are going up around me by like crazy and in most cases they are transporting the water from long distances. I was just thinking and why not look into it. One issue that comes to mind is I don't own the mineral rights to my property.
