I have a 2-105 that was putting trans oil in O/U. Found that the seals in the connecting hub between O/U and trans were shot and letting oil that lubes the splines build excessive pressure on the output shaft seal of the O/U. Have to remove the engine to fix but sure was worth the effort. There is a drain back hole but apparently it does not compensate for the extra oil going through the shot seal.
