Heard a news cast today about oil producers noticed less oil use than they expected in last few months. One producer says they may invest less in new production.They mentioned China is using more and they are taking up slack for now. They believe the use is off because of alternative fuels. I think I heard this right, but not sure.
Its like the steel plants closing and everyone worries the towns near will die. A few years later the towns are alive and well. Of course the steel is made in China or some other place like that. (And that's another thread!) In this case the high price of fuel creates, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling." mentality. I gotta tell ya, the sky ain't fallin!
