I received by U5020 last week. I put 3 hours on it so far and yesterday went into the garage to check the fluids ect before taking it out to move snow and noticed a puddle of oil under it. I traced the leak and found that oil looks to be leaking from the oil pressure relief valve. It is also spraying up the engine onto the block plugs.

Enough oil has leaked that it covered the side of the engine, oil pan, all the hoses on the right side of the engine as well as a portion of the frame on that side.

The oil pressure looked fine the last time I had started it. Not too full.

Any thoughts on why it may be pushing oil out the relief valve?

The dealer is showing up this morning to take the tractor to his shop to look at it.

By the way, other that this issue, the tractor thus far is great.

Thanks

Definitely something to get sorted out immediately. I'll bet it's an easy fix. Keep us posted.

Dealer picked up my tractor and had it back in 6 hours.

He pulled the oil pressure relief valve off, inspected it and the spring and reinstalled it to factory torque settings.

He checked the oil pressure with an external gauge and the pressure was correct according to factory specs.

It looks like when the dealer got the tractor delivered to him one of his mechanics were getting ready to put an engine block heater in so they pulled the oil pressure relief valve to increase accessability to the proper block plug.

After the relief valve had already been pulled they realized I wanted a circulating pump installed on the radiator hose, not a block heater, so they reinstalled the oil pressure relief valve, but appearantly it was not reinstalled to specs, but was set too tight so it was releasing oil pre-maturely.

I put 4 hours on it between yesterday and today and no oil relief so it looks to be fixed.

Good news.

We'll expect many good, trouble-free hours ahead. Keep the rubber side down.

I think with any new peice of equipment there will always be those minor hicups..Might had a hydralic steering line that was pinched between the load and tractor frame from the factory..used it for almost a week before it actually ruptured...
