I am wanting to place a manuel oil pressure gausge on this tractor because the one on the dash stays pegged since the day I purchased it. I am in no way a mechanic. So I was wondering once I mount the gauge on the tractor where do I run the tube to?

Your problem is likely nothing more than a defective connection. When working, I personally consider the OE oil pressure gauge to be perfectly acceptable. Is it safe to assume that you have the instrument cluster (as opposed to individual gauges)?

But specific to your question, you have to make sure the mechanical setup you buy has a thread count and diameter the same as the OE sending unit. After that, it's just a matter of unscrewing the OE and (very very quickly) replacing it with the new one (assuming you already have the new gauge installed and the tube ready to be connected).

Thank you, I will try cleaning the connections. I appreciate your help.

As Greg stated most problems occur at the pressure sending unit which is located down by the clutch pedal. If your tractor has single gauges it has 1 wire and a ground for the gauge. Check both. If it has a cluster dash the sending unit has 2 wires. Here is a pic of mine. My tractor has modified hydro system so you will not have the large white filter. The pressure sending unit on mine has a yellow wire going to it.

We don't know the age of your machine. So further to what Chris has ID'd, some of the older machines (individual gauges) had two wires at the oil pressure sending unit. One was connected directly to the oil pressure gauge, the other was a trigger wire for the hour meter.

I truly appreciate all the information; the picture was very helpful, as I had no clue to where the unit was located. I had traced the wires to that location so I waspretty close. But I didnt want to try something and mess other things up.
