Oil line on 1100 leaking

The oil line that runs from the motor to the oil filter failed on me this weekend. I only have 11 hours on the 1100. Dealer told me that there was a service bulletin on it. It seems that some were installed wrong at the factory. Good thing I noticed it or would have run it out of oil. Everyone who has a 1100 might want to check with your dealer and make sure yours is OK.

Here is a picture of the hose that failed. If you pick up the body it is the one coming off the rear of the oil filter to the engine. It looks like the hose was installed wrong at the factory.You can see in the first photo how there is a bend in the hose. I am sure that this was an isolated incident but wanted to let you know about it. It was a good thing I noticed this otherwise I would of run the 1100 out of oil. I only lost 1.5 quarts of oil

This will also be used for grooming snowmobile trails. I am glad it happened now and not when I am miles from the house late at night. All is good now so bring on the snow!!!
