Oil & Fuel Oil leak on JD 2305

My 2305 has been sitting for about a month at my orchard, but I noticed today that it was leaking clean oil. Not a heavy drip, and it was coming from around the middle of the front axle. I started the machine and it wouldn't drip. Was this from sitting? Or is a seal/gasket shot somewhere? I know it's probably hard to tell from that description.

I don't know if it's normal or not but my TC -29 has never leaked anything but due to all the cold weather I have had mine sitting in the shop on the concrete floor and noticed a clean oil spot on the concrete under about the middle of the tractor..I put a clean piece of plywood under it and started it up and let it run awhile...no leak..I checked back and still no leak and it has been a week now with no leak and I checked the oil and hyd. fluid and they are all up to full. It has been to cold for me to explore further but it well may just be from sitting. Maybe a gasket gets dry from non use.?

Definitely NOT normal, you need to pinpoint where it's coming from...

I've had a similar problem. Check your front drive-shaft where it connects to the front axle. There is a protective rubber booth that you will have too remove. My problem was the seal of the front axle, behind that booth. The oil would accumulate inside that booth, and eventually overflow. You will also want to check the oil level in the front axle. It was not a big leak, but I had it repaired on the warranty.

Thanks. It definitely looks like it's coming from the same area around the front axle. I will see if they can fix it for free...but I think I'm well past the warranty.
