Oil & Fuel Oil Change for Ford 3930

I have a Ford 3930. I need to change the engine oil. I bought an ITT manual for information. It provides the quantities for fluids, but it does not state the correct type of oil that is required. Should it be Rotella 10W40 or something similar? I also need a filter, but assume that won't be a problem and will cross reference as necessary. Are there any tricks to changing the oil that is any different than changing oil in a truck or car?

The New Holland USA website only lists a 30W oil for the 3930.
Here is a link to there website. New Holland USA - Tractors - Agricultural machinery - Combines, etc.
The part # they show is for a 55gal. drum (9613288 eng. oil) and then you can go to the Messicks website Messick's | Dealer for New Holland, Case IH, Kubota, Cub Cadet and More | Online Parts, Sales & Service. and type in that number and it has been superseded with a new number (407362R4) if you call Messicks they should be able to tell you the grade and weight of that oil.
The trans/hydraulic oil listed is the standard 134a,b,c,d.
New Holland shows an oil filter #86546614 which crosses to a WIX #51452. WIX filters, WIX oil filters, WIX air filters, WIX fuel filters, WIX Heavy Duty Oil Filters. All of this information is available on the New Holland website along with a complete parts list for the 3930. Air, fuel and hydraulic filter numbers are available but you have a couple of choices depending on your particular tractor.

Get on ebay and look for an owners manual for your tractor. Oersonally i never found the IT manuals very useful. In my opinion, if you're going to do you own maintanence, get a factory manual. ebay often has factory shop manuals available for the more popular tractors. They're around $100 +/- but with dealers and repair shops charging $0-100/ shop hour, you'll recoup that easily the first time you repasir it. plus they give good systes escription on how these macjines are supposed to work to help you understand your tractor better. Factory parts manuals are available on line at NH and Messick's, etc websites.
