I'd be interested in what brand fluid(s) are being used in your tractors if you're buying them yourself and either doing the install or having the dealer do it for you at 50 hours.
As noted in a recent thread, Kioti's official position IS to change the transmission AND front end fluids as well as ALL related filters; and if one did not have documentation of this service interval change warranty claims for failure or some similar problem could be denied by Kioti.
So I'm seeking input from all who have changed their own or had the dealer do the change of fluids so TBN users can get some data as to what is commonly used and what if any preferences are out there as to particular fluids used.

Thanks all.:)

I'm using good old Shell Rotella 10 W 30. It's easy to come by and it has good credentials. You can pick the stuff right off the shelf at WalMart. I don't use synthetic because it has not got the track record that regular carries and the book calls regular diesel oil with the right designation.

Since I live a long way from my dealer I have always tended to the maintenance issues. in a few days I will be doing the 750 hour maintenance.

To my knowlege owners can choose to do this maintenance if they would like. I always purchase all filters from my dealer. I'm pretty confident my dealer knows I'm taking care of my tractor and could tell with a glance if I wasn't.

Thanks for your reply; and you're correct- owner's can perform maintenance on their tractors, just as one can do on one's car. Best to keep receipts for the fluids, etc. to have a record if it ever came down to needing proof.

CountryMark Advantage Lubricants. I have been using them for about 30 years. I use 15w40 for the engine, THF for the transmission and 85w90 for the front axle. They also deliver right to my door.:D

CountryMark

Here is an interesting story from CountryMark Coop.
Indiana based CountryMark just had one of the biggest oil discoveries in years in Indiana on the Hulman family farm a couple of weeks ago. They own the Indianapolis 500. Their neighbors are probally shooting their rifles at the ground trying to be the next Jed Clampett.

Just a note ! Make shure you remove the clutch housing drain plug and check for any water or fluids . I plan to use Shell Donax hyd fluid , and rotella synthetic for the engine . First 50 hour service should be fun

I went to a Chevron Bulk facility that also has a retail outlet and bought the following for my CK35 HST when doing my first change about 1 1/2 years ago.

Motor oil, Delo 400LE Sae15W-40, 6 gallons in one case
Hydraulic oil, Chevron 1000THF, comes in 5 gallon pails
Ultra Duty Chevron Grease, EPNLG1 2, 10-14oz tubes in one case
Filters I got from my Dealer

I made sure I had lots of buckets that fit under the tractor and had cardboard, old carpet and newspaper under the tractor for any spillage.

I just bought 15 gallons of Shell Donax transmission fluid. way cheaper than john Deere's or kubota branded stuff at the local supply houses. The Donax brand is listed in the Kioti manual as suggested.
