Just did the 200 hour checkup on the 'Bota. Last night I did a search of filter prices posts and concluded that going to the dealer was going to be expensive. Went to my dealer (Hoefling's in southwest Indiana) this morning. Bought the Kubota oil and air filter. I was ready for the total (even had the checkbook in case I didn't have enough cash)....

oil #70000-74034 $5.12
air #K1211-82320 $9.85

Total was $14.97...I thought that was a good price.

Yeah, there are ways to save money by purchasing filters from other places. I hear Wix makes some that work. Some follks swear by it, but for me it isn't worth the trouble. I'd be afraid of doing something dumb and winding up with the wrong thing...so I've always done the same thing as you and gotten the Kubota branded filters from the dealer.
