My coworker went to fill our 100 gal tank today and was informed that he would have to buy on road fuel as it was no longer legal in Illinois to sell off road fuel. later found out that if you wish to use off road that it must be delivered to you and placed into a certified/inspected tank. anyone else heard of this? Our supplier is a pretty big player in the fuel business around here. They have 6 locations I believe. Anyone else try to get fuel today in IL?

At my usual filling station in NH, I have no problem filling my yellow 5-gallon fuel container with off-road diesel for my tractor....

here in pa can still get off road. but i am sure whoever is behind the no more off road in illinois, will try to screw more of us out of our money. remember when diesel was LESS then gasoline. now it is more. what happened!?!? i thought diesel was a by product of making gasoline and didn't take as much refining as gasoline, therefor cheeper to produce, but they now charge us more for it.

Two weeks ago I had off road delivered to our farm and paid less than regular gasoline but it's all to darn expensive.

i'm in north central pa, just got fuel friday, feb10. and off road was $3.649 per gal and regular unleaded gasoline was $3.599 per gal. on road is $4.059. and yes it is all getting very expensive! i would think that proves they are just playing games. some areas are higher with one type of fuel then other areas.
