Just did the 50 hour maintenance on my BX2350 and thought I'd drop a line on some things I found interesting:

1. The engine cowling is easier to remove, but harder to reinstall by yourself due to lining up some tabs on the operator end.

2. Noticed that there is no longer a threaded port in the block for the block heater I need to install before winter... I'll be removing a freeze plug.

3. The strainer on the tranny has an all-new design. On my 2200 I had to worry about an o-ring and a tube..and to clean it I had to remove the rear tire. Not so with the 2350, it has a small clamp you remove and once you initially break the paint seal  the tube slides right out, no need to remove the tire. The oring is captured on the tube itself, no need to worry about losing it or damaging in on reinstallation.

4. In contrast to my 2200 at the 50hr, no shavings at all, just what looked like a little bit of sealant material...wiped right off the strainer.

5. Capacities were right on the money according to the manual.

6. The location of the fill for the transmission is MUCH more convenient. It was very easy to fill compared to the pain-in-the-butt fill point on the 2200.

Thanks! I'm due in about 5 hours for my BX24 50 hour, I imagine these two machines are identical in that regard. Does the air filter get changed at the 50 hour?

Good timing on this thread - thanks for the info; I will be doing the 50 hr maintenance on my own BX2350 in the next month... actually kinda looking forward to it as I'll get even more familiar with the BX. The tractor is a real workhorse and it's performed flawlessly..

Actually, I just blew it out gently. I think the air filter is one of those things that depends on your condition your using the tractor in...if you get a lot of dust and garbage in the air, you'll need to clean/replace it more often. Mine looked good, so I just did a gentle clean.

i just did my 50 hours on my b7510. in addition to the normal 50 hour stuff i replaced the airfilter, fuel filter and front axle fluid.
i will be doing engine oil and filter, fuel filter, front axle fluid and air filter every 50 hours. i know it is overkill but it is not that hard or that expensive.
