Your welcome. It probably needs a ECM flash to update its software, or something similar. These type of headaches are mostly about complying with recent EPA emissions laws that restrict the tractor manufacturers regarding how particulates are put into the airstream. It has the downside of complicating systems that were running pretty flawlessly prior to final Tier IV coming into play, like with your model and year of tractor. Kioti, like all other manufacturers of tractors struggles to get it right out of the box, but seems to be doing a fairly good job of patching the problems, when they occur, in the 'field'.
Once the new to market bugs are worked out I suspect that these tractors will provide numerous years of relatively trouble free use as have prior year's models.
I understand your frustration with the situation and if it's any help, it's not just tractors that suffer most recent 'technology' faults.
IMHO, just about everything I buy these days needs some sort of tweak out of the box. Doesn't matter what the category is; refrigerators, ride mowers, laptops, TV's, garbage disposals, etc. They all seem to be made as cheaply as possible and we, the end user always gets stuck with having to call in, send in, or throw out the junk produced by manufacturers who cut as many corners as possible in the name of global competition, etc.
I find one of the most frustrating aspects is I have to waste my time following through to get a product that actually works, after having spent good money to buy something that should already work when purchased.
Two examples; recently replaced under warranty garbage disposal, was just recalled for possibility of shrapnel being thrown out of machine and injuring users! What?! When I called in the serial number they asked if I had had any problems with the unit?! I told them it's under a recall, you, (manufacturer) should have worried about that when you were designing/ manufacturing/ selling the product; not after the fact when they're out in the field.
Brand new Husky ALD mower with 2 transaxles, one leaked like a sieve from the factory. Located a huge glob of white silicone at the axle shaft; obviously it was leaking at the factory; their QC decision was to glob it and send it out and let it get dealt with under warranty. YIKES!:confused2:
Sorry if this seems like a thread hijack; I'm just trying to be supportive by giving other examples of where things are more poorly thought out than the OP's situation across the board of consumer goods; and where it wastes our time as consumers.
Anyway, hope it helps, you're certainly not alone.....
