I have an NX5010 HST with just the main gear shift lever for low, medium, and high. The gear shift lever started giving me rouble going into high and then after about a week it became completely disengaged just yesterday.
The gear shift lever has a roll pin at the bottom of it to attach it to the shaft going horizontally. The roll pin was backed out almost all the way and enough so it was no longer rotating the horizontal gear shift shaft.
It took me a while to figure it out and then use a series of socket extensions to reach in there under the left rear fender far enough to get it positioned and drive the roll pin back in with a hammer on the end of the length of extensions. I had to index the lever with a roofing nail before driving the pin in.
I am not pleased that my tractor, with less than 160 hours, has parts falling off because they weren't installed properly at the factory.
Attached are photos of the empty roll pin hole seen from the front and the filled hole after I drove it back in. I took some pictures of it from the back but you can't really see anything because the wiring harness is in the way. I had to pop it loose from the plastic push pins to get the socket extensions past it to the roll pin.
If you have an NX HST series you might glance at this pin under at the bottom of this lever just to make sure it is fully engaged. I was lucky enough to be in gear when it stopped working and was able to get it back to my outbuilding for the repair.
Happy Day!
