Two years ago I put a branch thru my plastic grill destroying it. I replaced it and last weekend I had a 1/2 branch pop up and go thru the grill again. This time I stopped real quick and was able to save the grill by snapping the piece back in and gluing it. Here is what I am thinking of doing. I have a 1/4 " piece of aluminum diamond plate that will cover the front push bar. Right now it is just clamped in place. My thought is to attach it to the front of the grill push bar. Then cut two rectangular slots for two new inexpensive LED headlights that I already have. I rarely ever use my tractor in the dark and can't recall the last time I used my headlights. I can also mount the lights to the sides of the guard. Your thought are welcome.

It should work ok but I would use expanded metal. Just to make sure I still have good air flow.

There is plenty of room behind it for air flow. I considered that before wanting to do this. Worse case scenario I could drill a bunch of 1/4 " holes in it. I did not want to go with any metal with big holes or slots because of branch damage. It doesn't take much for a branch to kick up and go thru the grill.

Built this one around the stock grill. For same reason yours broke. Has saved the grill a couple of times now.

My grill is all smashed up from running into brush piles when burning slash every year.

That is why I did what I did to keep from smashing it up again.
