My wife says I have a problem.
I find myself riding down the road looking at driveways and yards spotting high or low spots and saying “I could fix that” or “They should fix that it looks bad”
Overgrow yards/ fields I do the same thing.
Is there a support group for my sickness?

I do that too....."Oh look at that field. It needs mowing." "Wow, does he need to relocate that pile of dirt." "A few passes and that standing water could be gone."

........and I don't even have a tractor yet!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

My wife and mom were saying how nice the curved edges I put on the outer flower beds looked untill I told them I did it to match the turning radus of the BX. Then I got something along the line of "It figures" as they walked off

That's good! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When we were laying out where we wanted our patio, my wife kept saying that she wanted a "curvy" patio, not a square one. I said that was fine, but I wanted to make sure that the curves weren't so sharp that I couldn't mow along side of them. So I come home for lunch one day, and here's the contractor out in back laying out the forms for the pour. I see one inside curve that I can tell is way too sharp to get into with the mower. I go out and ask the guy to "soften" it so i can mow alongside it. He says no problem, he understands what I'm talking about. I get home that afternoon, and the patio has been poured and the curve is just like I had seen before I asked it to be changed! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif So I come out of the house, and the contractor was standing there and must have seen my face. He quickly says that he did change it the way I wanted, but after I left, the wife came out and asked it to be changed back because " it looked better ". /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Now every time I mow, and I have to come back and trim that area out by hand, I make sure the wife sees me scowling /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. I think she finally understands what I was talking about! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ha ha ha ...that is great! that poor contractor. You should have told him not to cange it back no matter what or you would not pay him... maybe you should make her trim it.

I have a stick that is as wide as my mower + a little. every time she wants a tree bush or whatever I get out my "mower stick" to be sure I can mow arond the thing

My wife was reading over my shoulder one night and found out we "actually wash & wax our tractors". She thinks I'm nuts. I think she's right, but at least I'm not alone!

No disrespect, but get a farm and you'll look for ways of avoiding that stuff on your own place. Seems you never get caught up. Sure cure all for "looking for something to do disease".

See, you're just the kind of guy I'll be looking for once I retire and I start "playing" with my tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Following the advice received in a previous post, 4 weeks ago I hired a tractor guy to put a ditch down each side of my drive and do a few other things, maybe 6 hours work. He has been here with his tractor 3 times in the last 4 weeks and the ditch isn't even done yet. He promised me he would be here this week to finish the job, Wednesday is almost gone and I have not heard a word.

Are you sure you don't want to come play in my dirt /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Nope, haven't paid him anything yet. Thinking of just giving him a little for what he has done and going with my origional plan of renting and doing it myself. I couldn't do any worse than he has.
