I bought my GC last weekend and I purchased a MMM and a set of R-4's, which I was told, would be here Tuesday or Wednesday he would call me when they arrived. It is now Friday, I had received no call as to where or when my MMM or wheels are. So, around noon today, I called my salesman, he said "Oh, yeah the MMM is here, but your wheels have not shipped yet." When were you going to call me and let me know when you expect arrival???? He said " I put a call into the mfg and left a message, they must be very busy." OK....So than I asked him, "can you call somebody else and find out what the deal is?" He said that he would "try" and get back to me today. Guess what?....No call:confused3: How does a business expect to have satisfied customers without following thru with their commitments?? A simple phone call, that's all....
He knew I wanted to pick them both up at the same time so I would only have to make 1 trip, 2hrs round trip. So now, I have no idea when the wheels will arrive, and I have no MMM. I wanted him to call back so if it was going to be 1 or 2 more weeks, I would stop by in the morning and get my MMM, which I now need. Am I being unrealistic, wanting to know when the wheels are to be expected? Pretty soon, I may have to buy a "BIGGER" tractor AND a round baler to "bale" my lawn. Maybe, that is what they are waiting for:confused3:

For sure, one would think a phone call would be the protocol they would follow. But...seems like there are many businesses that keep the door open without good follow-up with customers.
Maybe we don't communicate enough information to begin with, but when they say they will call...then they should call regardless. IMO

i mean from a sales perspective, he can't really make them go any faster, but he certainly can call them and let you know where things lie, especially since the timeline has passed. Even if it is to just call you and tell you there is no new information (so you aren't waiting in the wings)

I can understand your frustration. You are not asking for them tomorrow, just a date to expect them on. By the way, I'm not so sure you will see a lot of difference between the bar tires, and the R-4's on that size tractor....... Keep us posted on that. I did see a set of HDAP tires on a JD 2305 the other day. I questioned a salesman to see if he thought they would be strong enough for loader work, and of couse he said he did think they would be fine..

Hope your wrong on the R-4's, but we will see. I will keep you posted, hope to get them next week, I found out today when I picked up my MMM. What are HDAP's:confused:

HDAP tires are the heavy duty all purpose tires found on some JD, and Simplicity garden tractors. JD's web site shows them on the X540's, X728's, etc. and the Simplicity site shows them on the Legacy XL. They look a bit more like ATV tires than turfs.
