Ok guys

Big problems now. Both rear axles have stripped splines after 150 hrs. on machine....110 hrs. with tracks installed. Need a trip to dealer to see how they are gong to handle this as it is very likely if they just replace parts with new we will have the same issue over again. This explains the transmission slipping sensation! I think it is time to start looking for a different vehicle. I'll see if I can post pics but I think there is a size limit here.

What is Soucy saying about this problem? Have you informed them about it yet? Before I bought my I talked with a guy from Saratoga county that was running an 1100 and he made no mention of your problem.

Deerlope

Mattracks installed not soucey. I'll reserve final judgment for a while but from what I have seen so far I believe this is Kubota's issue. The components should be capable of handling the 25 hp regardless of what type ground delivery (tires or Tracks).

I might of missed it, did Kubota do the installation for you ?

I agree with you, it does sound like a Kubota thing, for there are MANY RTV's out there with tracks, and yet, have I heard of trouble with the RTV itself, only troubles heard of is the tracks ~~~~

Depending on how you and the dealers relationship is, if he's a balks on it or has something to say that don't make you feel uncomfortable about the situation, get ahold of the customer relations dept at Kubota . Number is on their website. For I know of a owner of a RTV had a issue on a drive shaft problem, and the dealer give him some sort of run around, went straight to Kubota, the problem was fixed quickly and they kept calling checkin' in on the situation. He then was a happy man again ~~~~~~~ Just what kinda dealer you have !!!

Thanks TG, Installed by our local mechanic and he said he followed the installation to the book. Very thorough, competent and honest man. I am positive that If he made an installation mistake he would own up to it. Looks to me that the hub spline material is too soft. Perhaps some guys that work their machines hard could pull a wheel. I'd like to see if this is an isolated issue or not. If we just had some defective parts then so be it but I don't want to have them replaced with a part that will fail again in another 100 hrs.

It really looks like a metal heat treat problem to me. It probably would have shown up even running tires.

Very interesting.
I've never heard of this happening with tracks on any utv.
Hope you get this resolved soon.
Goodluck~!
