not starting

MF1040 wont start.
started fine yesterday, cleared a lot of snow. today turned key...nothing at all....cold, checked cables noticed pos slightly loose.
gave up not enough time to continue. Put battery charger on slow charge and left overnight, checked next morning and batter up to 100%. tried again ...nothing again. left for work with batter on trickle charge.

today checked battery on charger, it read 100%. replaced fusible link(that was what i thought was the problem) and tapped the cables tight and snugged them with wrench. tried again...the glow plug position showed light that is was working (throttle in 1/4 position) gearshift in S, setting in seat, clutch in, moved switch to start position ,start light came on but no engine activity...just dead.

no idea what to do next...please help

Check to make sure that you are getting battery voltage to the starter solenoid when the key is in the start position. If there is, is the solenoid closing ? If it is , the problem is most likely in the starter motor. Put jumper cables on the starter lugs MAKING SURE THE TRACTOR IS NOT IN GEAR. If the engine turns over, that says the starter is good.
If there is no battery voltage at the solenoid, check the interlock switches( generally under the seat, on the clutch pedal, pto lever etc)

make sure pto lever is in off position.

UPDATE
went out today after yet another major snowfall in west ky and tried it again. Eureka!!! it started. Apparently some electrical switch had frozen and today it was a bit warmer and everything went back to normal. Making note to self....yet another reason I would not like to live farther north!
