Mahindra 26xl
Ok, I'll start this right off by saying this is by no means a "bash Mahindra thread". However I bought a 26 a few months ago and currently have 33 hrs on it and have had a few issues already. I) have completely severed the wire under the seat several times (due to spinning it around) and is now nothing but a mess of electrical tape. 2) have blown the ETR fuse at least 8 times . 3) today while digging out a stump the backhoe lost all power. The tractor sits in my yard completely stuck with stabilizers in the down position and bucket fully extended into hole.... Checked everything over and over for leaks and found nothing. I'm a little aggravated to say the least. Again not saying Mahindra is a "POS" but starting to have a few doubts. Any suggestions on the backhoe problem? Already sent dealer an email (which has been fairly unsuccessful in the past)

I have a Max 22 TLB my seat switch didn't work properly from the start. I took a piece of 14 gauge ground wire (from 14/2 house wire) and jumped the switch. I know, I know you shouldn't defeat the safety equipment but. My seat also failed, the vinyl came loose from the pan, the dealer sent me a complete new seat with switch I just haven't have time to change. Change the fuse, jump the switch and find a new dealer if yours isn't taking care of his customer.

sorry you're having issues.

Jump that seat switch, and get it off the seat. Many tractors don't even have them, mine doesn't. It;s just a PITA anyway.

Does the bucket lift? If it does, I can't imagine what the problem would be other than supply to the bh thru the connectors.

Did you disconnect/reconnect the bh connectors?

If your powering the BH with a remote...........unplug and plug back in the QDs. Sometimes mine pops and it looks like it is on..............but it isn't. BH just starts moving real slow, then everything freezes up. If it keeps up..............change the QDs.

My max 28 had an issue with the seat wiring, broke loose at maybe 15 hours, cut the wire right at the plug. I jumped it to get the tractor running and the dealer brought out a brand new seat (apparently the switch and harness aren't sold separately) and zip tied the harness to the frame so it couldn't drop out into harm's way. Your dealer should handle that, but if not you may want to look into that (or jump the thing, all it does is prevent you from cranking without sitting down). Never had an ETR fuse blow (or if the 28 even had that), but I'd be looking at a better fuse or asking the dealer to find the short in the wiring. 8 times is excessive.

If you don't have a bunch of hydraulic fluid on the ground under the hoe, one of the lines has just become disconnected. wiggle everything to relieve any left over pressure and disconnect/reconnect the 3 lines for the backhoe.

Thank you!! Feel silly for not actually pulling on them to make sure! Won't make that mistake again. Thank you again

Mine were still locked on. Just pulling on them would not pull them off. I had to disconnect them. and then reconnect them

What process do you go through when spinning the seat around?

And something is shorting the wire to blow the fuse like that.. Check for any bare wire exposed and also check your battery connections.
