Nortrac Bulldozer Brakes

Has anyone tried changing the brakes on a Nortrac bulldozer? I have removed the inspection covers and the lining is pretty worn, I bought new brakes , It was very difficult but I finally was able to remove one side using a come-a-long, however , I have not been able to get the new one in. It seams that there is not enough clearance in the housing.

Hmm: contemplating the same on mine, but thought you had to pull the track and bull wheel..??
