I am often talking about my recreational property. I thought I would post a few "end of the day" photos from the last two weeks. Dave

Hey, I know that bridge Dave, it's on our license plates /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I think I've even been on that spot too, is it close to Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground? Do you use your place up there year 'round? Any snow yet? Keep the pics coming /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Rob, That photo was taken right next to the bridge at the Fort Park. Mill creek is a few miles out but still offers the same view due to a penninsula on the shore. My property is 25 miles south of mackinaw or 12 miles south of Cheboygen right off lake Huron. Its vacant land right now but yes we do go year round. In the spring and fall I am makeing the Trek 3 weekends a month. I have a small tool shed/barn ( 8x12 ) up, a main road, A biggie this year was a out house ( I'm not a carpenter but it was fun ) and about 2 acres of cleared food plots that are doing good this fall, As I look at the weather report it might be snowing their as I type. lol. I'm NOT ready for that yet. This past weekend I had a fiberglass deer blind and a 8' tower delivered from Texas. Now I just have to TRY to round up enough troops to set it up. I gave up the Fudge but there is a fellow just off the main drag that makes darn good Jerky /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Dave

Beautiful area, Doc. We haven't been up that way for about 9-10 years. Could be time for a vacation up north this spring. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I smell a TBN gathering in the making... We're vacationing in Petoskey next year for sure. That'll be a quick pedal over to Cheboygan /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hmmmm... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

There may need to be some discussion about creating a new forum - TBN Gatherings

Last year it was at the Empire Farm Days in New York.

This year, it's the one we're getting going in Vermont.

Next year it might be in Michigan.

And this isn't even counting the individual meetings that have occurred. There recently was Spencer and Henro. I'll be meeting with Rancar and possibly Von in a week or so. I'm sure I've missed some too.

These meetings are starting to become more frequent! This is really cool! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

What do you think?

Hi Garry,

I tried to suggest or imply as much in a post I made early last year. See third bullet item in initial post entitled TBN Next Steps (below). At the time it wasn't overwhelmingly endorsed. But, I guess these meetings are just happening for whatever reason and need.

Look forward to meeting you at the first annual TBN upstate NY chapter meeting in Glens Falls on Oct.11. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif BTW, you think we should open this up to any upstate NYers? I was thinking it would be just you, me and the wives. But, if the need is out there, maybe I should start a separate thread announcing the first annual upstate NY chapter of TBN. What do you think? If anything, at least it'll be a pleasant outing on a nice autumn day at a terrific breakfast place in the foothills of the Adirondacks. You would be our guest speaker from Wisconsin. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
