Kubota BX24
Hi all!
I'm in the San Jose, CA area (actually in the Santa Cruz mountains near there) and am beginning serious shopping for a BX24. I'm within decent driving distance of 3 Kubota dealers and wondered if anyone has feedback (positive or negative) on them:
Noble Tractor, San Jose (7 miles away)
C&N Tractors, Watsonville (25 miles)
Team Power, Livermore (30 miles)

Thanks!

I am with Team Power Tractors at the Redding location. My current parts manager is the Son of the original owner of C&N Tractors. Before I worked for Team Power I used to purchase my Kubotas for a Rental outfit thru C&N Tractors. They always seemed good to me. I have no experience with Noble however.

Now as far as a Kubota BX24 TLB...I would sell one to you for $15,950 before tax of course. Now if you call the Team Power location in Livermore Dean will be able to give you the same price I am sure. Call on us if you need anything.

Don't let the log in name fool you. I am also a Kubota, New Holland, Takeuchi and Toro dealer.

I have been very happy with my Kubota purchase through C&N tractors (my dealer is in Paso Robles).

I've had good luck with Noble Tractor. Bought a BX2200 from Warren in 02 and then an L39 from Bill Noble in 06. Good prices, knowledgable staff and a busy full service shop (not that I've ever had a problem).

My info on Noble is from two years ago when I was BX23 Shopping. Warren was very friendly when I was in my looking stage and the only reason I did not buy from him is that I had a better quote from another dealer that Warren could not match or come close to.

A couple of weeks later Warren contacted me to let me know he had some tractors coming in and might be able to do a little better on price, but, by that time I had already made my purchase. I did tell him that I was looking to buy a post-hole digger and I was surprised when he told me to go to the dealer that sold me my tractor... Warren also mentioned that he was not interested in doing Warranty Repairs on tractors bought elsewhere... and we have not spoken since.

Team Power in Livermore has been a pleasure to do business with. I've never needed it, but they have Field Service Mechanics with fully equipped service trucks for warranty and repair work... just like my Cat Dealer.

Green Valley Kubota in or near Vacaville has a very large selection of small tractors in stock. The owner is a little abrupt to deal with, but his Father-in-Law is great and I've sent a few customers his way.

The good thing about Kubota Tractors is their reliability and this made it easier for me to justify buying outside my area.

I called everybody between Napa and Gilroy.

The best service and price I got was from Tony at Dolk Tractor in Rio Vista.

Second best was from Freddy at Garton Tractor in Modesto.

The worst service I got was from Warran at Noble, but I don't know about there price because after calling him twice for a quote he never did fax one off even though he said he would. He did tell me that he didn't need my business in our first conversation. I guess he was right on at least that, because Tony got our money and we got a L3130,723,BH90,box scraper, tiller, and a trailer.:D :D

I also made a purchase of L2800 from Tony at Dolk Tractors in Rio Vista. It was the best deal. Tony is a class guy willing to spend time and answer all your questions. I also checked all the other dealers! Good luck!

I was very pleased with Dolk Tractor in Rio Vista when I bought my Agco ST-30x. I had two warranty problems and service took care of them quickly. I live about 80 miles from them. I worked with Rick Dolk on the purchase.

In the San Jose area, I've dealt with Team Power in Livermore, C&N in Watsonville and Noble (now Lampson) in San Jose.

2.5 years ago I was real close to buying a B7610. Team Power by far had the best price with no haggling. The tractor price was about 15% lower than C&N and Noble. I recall implements being similarly cheaper. In fact I think C&N quoted above MSRP on a few implements. I got nowhere with C&N and Noble when trying to bring the price down. The Noble salesman (an older man) was pretty grumpy, and it was clear he did now want my business. I also got the comment from him that if I bought elsewhere, then don't even think about coming to him for servicing. C&N was friendlier, but just way too pricey. In the end I didn't make any purchase because I was concerned about the distance to Team Power, and also at the time could not justify the cost of the purchase. About a month after this C&N called and asked if I was still considering buying. I said yes if they could match the Team Power quote. They said no problem, just fax the quote. I did, and followed up with voice messages, and never got a return call.

Fast forward 2.5 years. Today I just purchased a B2620 from C&N. Things have changed the past 2.5 years. The C&N quote for the B2620+loader was $1200 cheaper than the B7610+loader quote from 2.5 years ago. Some of the implements also came down ($25 off the bucket forks, $50 off the scraper). Team Power was still cheaper, but only by about 3%, and didn't offer free 50 hours service, loader hooks, and tire fill like C&N (although I didn't really ask either). I was also still concerned about the distance to Team Power, so I went with C&N. I didn't get a quote from Lampson, since they did not have a B2620 in stock, and said they would have to charge extra to get it from another dealer, but they were a lot friendlier this time around.
