Last Friday my wife & I were driving to Daytona Beach to visit her mom. A couple of fatal accidents on I-75 created miles of traffic jams & a couple of lost hours. Managed to liberate ourselves from the interstate & took hwy. 20 out of Gainesville headed east. A lot slower than the interstate [when traffic moves!], but what a nice drive. Saw some nice country real estate.
What was really noticeable, however, was all the lakes and ponds with piers ending several feet above dry ground. These people have had a severe drought. Even so, everything looked nice and green. Looks can sure deceive.
