I need some advice here.

I am getting ready to order some Ornamec( selective herbicide) to spray Bermuda Grass .

In the instructions it says it has to be mixed with a Non ionic surfactant for best results. I know this is a wetting agent and probably causes it to adhere better as this is a systemic herbicide.

Can someone enlighten me as to what I need , a name or brand would be helpful.

Thanks,

This may sound odd to you as it did to me. When I was applying weed killer to my yard with the sprayer several yrs. back, the fellow at Farm & Fleet told me to use the liquid Murphy's oil soap as a surfacant. I don't know if that helped or not but the yard sure smelled good when I was done. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif BTW, that was the only time that I added anything to the weed killer. I didn't notice any difference one way or the other.

Get fusilade II instead of Ornamec. Cheaper!!!

When I purchase Ornamec it comes with a small bottle of surfactant shrink wrapped with it, ask your supplier if it is included.

Otherwise use dish soap or cheap shampoo, I use it with glyphosphate all the time.

aondre,
Does Ornamec work well for You? I will ask when I call Bunton seeds to order it about whether it comes with a surfactant.

Thanks, Tom /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
