Someone told me Cub has several different nomenclature/model numbers for the same basic machine, depending upon whether it was sold through a CC dealer or a big box store.

If this is a fact, can anyone give us a cheat sheet for which are the same or very nearly the same?

It would help buying parts, but also here on the forum, because if the number given is different from those I've worked with, I'm not going to know it's really the same machine.

Our former CC dealer, Country Homes Supply, has gone to Husky and whatever, so the great parts counter guy I always could work with is gone also.

Still hoping someone can decipher which of the 1000 series and 2000 series are actually the same machines just sold from different outlets.

Anyone ever found a comprehensive listing of CC model numbers and specs we can use as a reference?

Numerology

the study of numbers, as the figures designating the year of one's birth, to determine their supposed influence on one's life, future, etc.

Thinking numerology doesn't apply here
