OK, Have a 5530 with 10 hours on it and I am getting no temp hand movement at all. All other gauges working fine so not a fuse. Any ideas as to what's causing this short of a bad gauge?

Check the plug that goes to the engine. When my 4530 was delivered I had the same problem. The connector was off the temp sensor on the engine.

Welcome to the forum! ... Hold cold is it there? How hard are you working it. Sometimes hard to get my 7520 gauge to move when its cold out unless I can give it a good sustained load for a couple minutes at least.
llllarry.

The temp gauge on my 5530 usually reads cold under normal use. The only time I was able to get the needle near what I thought would be normal for the gauge was brush hogging in mid-august. Hope this helps.

About 60 today, moving some dirt for about 30 minutes, thought for sure it would at least show some rise in temp.

Thanks Lee, I was using my loader to move some dirt today, maybe 30 minutes worth, I may be jumping the gun.

Quick check for any single wire electric gauge(temp, fuel oil press). Find the wire where it attaches to the sender, remove it if need be. With the key on, flash it to ground for a split second while observing the gauge. If the circuit is good, the needle will move. If it doesn't move hold it for a bit longer, as some gauges need a few seconds to react, where others can move so quickly you can damage the unit. If the needle does move, your issue is with the sender, or a poor resistance match between gauge and sender. Either way it's a warranty issue with only 10 hrs
