No start

Hello everyone,
I have a 2004 kioti dk45 with 515 hours
Terrific tractor
However I was doing routine maintenance I cleaned lights and sprayed a cleaner at plug adapter then put back together. Then after cleaning fuel filter putting valve to air I was turning engine over when suddenly it began to make shorting out ( wires frying) sound
Now I turn the key and get nothing no silicosis sound no dash lights nothing dead.
The battery is properly connected and charged.
Any ideas?

60 amp fuse? Do the emergency flashers work?

Sounds like a bad battery cable connection or a bad ground at the frame connection to me.
The first thing I would do is remove all battery cables and clean all connections.

Hello Vince,
I thought same thing since I was cleaning battery cables etc during maintenance I was doing.
So battery is good and it simply shorted out while turning over after cleaning fuel filter. I thought maybe the cleaner I sprayed in connection for lights some how caused shorted it out. ( took off front grill to get to battery and cables and had to unplug lights connection was lightly corroding so I sprayed to clean)
I appreciate your thoughts.

Great question. Didn't think of that. Thank you for the consideration.
I just tried flashers. They didn't work however I heard a clicking sound ( clickk click click) under the dash. Then it quit. So I immediately checked battery connection again and put charger on it. No difference still nothing not even the clicking ( fluttering sound) under dash.
Would a bad rely switch cause no power at all?

You have a bad ground or a discharged Battery. hopefully James or CM see this thread and chime in as the are good with the Electrical stuff.

If the lights work the old method for checking battery/connections is turn on lights try to start: if they dim its may be a weak battery and if the lights go out look for a connection.

You were correct it was a bad ground actually the wire it self was corroded inside protective vinyl ( unseen )
Thank you the flasher question was the one that really got me thinking had to be ground or battery.

If the flashers don't work, that pretty-much narrows it down to one of the battery cables (including end connections) or the fuse. There have been several reports here about failed cables where the bad spot was under the insulation. I think the fastest test is to use a jumper cable from the battery negative to bare metal on the engine (bypass ground cable) to see if that fixes your problem. Similarly a jumper cable from the battery positive to the big terminal on the starter would bypass a problem with the positive battery cable. If all that checks out, check the fuse but the noise you described sounds more like a bad cable/connection.
