First off, my kub just stopped starting, its a 94 L2650 D 4WD. When you turn the key over it just clicks the starter, and the lights on the instrument panel go out, this even happens when you have a set of cables on it. batteries fully charged. HELP!!. Second my front bucket wont dump. It will go maybe a few inches. and thats it. it sounds like its maxed out and doesnt budge anymore...

Clean those battery connections real good, check the ground points. Recharge battery or replace.

J J, i have done everything but replace the batt. its fully charged and i cant find a dead cell or anything. i read a post last night, and i cant remember exactly who it was from , i think kubme or something like that,. but he was talkin about using a john deere relay set, i wonder if that may be something i could try ?

Have you load tested the battery? Sometimes they say they are charged but they die under load just to rebound after load is released it needs load tester w/ meter likeJ_J said make sure ground and connections are good

Test with another know GOOD battery hooked up with battery cables to the tractor but no not booster to the existing battery as it can be internally bad.

Not only check the terminals at the battery, but also check the ground (neg) terminal where it attaches to the tractor's frame and the positive terminal where it attaches to the starter. If you have a loose connection it will do the same thing as dirty terminals.

As far as your FEL not working properly, your symptoms sound to me like a quick connect that has come unseated. Disconnect and reseat all the FEL quick connects. This is a pretty common problem.

Check the cables where they are 'press fitted' into the battery clamps. They can look fine but can be loose and dirty inside the join. This was the fault on mine that caused the exact same problem you describe. I cut off the battery clamps and replaced them with a bolt on type.

Thanks guys. its kinds wet outside right now and i dont have a barn built yet. so gonna wait until its a lil better weather. but on the FEL, before the weather got bad today, i disconnected it from the bucket, and ( looking at the front of the kub ) the left piston would extend but only about 9 inches. and the right one wouldnt budge...so dont know if its the quick connect or what. but it bogs down like its pushed out to the max... will try disconnecting the quick cons and see if that does anything. was thinking about also tryin to bleed the lines to make sure it aint airlocked....

thanks guys, i got the starting problem figured out. the ground cable ran behind a tie-down, and was smashed almost into... replaced it and now its running just fine... other than the hydro problem...
