Stopped by my dealer yesterday to look at a TC55 since he said he had some good pricing on them. Several in stock with R4 tires. TC55 with R4 tires around $18,500.

I asked about R1 tires since that is what I need. He said he could not get any from the factory, none were available.

Does anyone know if this is true?

They have R1 on the TN65, not that much bigger tractor than the TC55. Is the TC55 just an odd size or is New Holland having trouble getting R1's from their supplier?

They list R1 in the sales brochure as a standard tire. The dealer must mean there is a temporary hold up on these but I find that hard to believe.
There a several dealers on TBN that can verify what your dealer is saying.

Andy,

I have seen the R1 on a TC55. Dealer just said they can't get anymore R1's.

He said I could maybe find a TC55 with R1's but on a lot somewhere but that They just could not get the R1 for the TC55 anymore. This is one of the largest NH dealers in NC.

I do have 3 other NH dealers near me that I am going to check and see what they say.

I am not ready to buy at this point but I do want to start getting info. The TC55 not having R1's is no big deal as I would most likely buy a TN65 if I went with NH.

Any New Holland dealers here that can answer the question on R1's?

Hunter,
I've had a DX55 on order for over 2 months. I had to order one mainly because no one could locate a tractor with R1's within a sevearl state radius. The dealer called me last week to say they finally got the tractor in. He said it was delayed longer than normal since they had to wait for the R1's. It's funny (not) that all the dealers told me the same thing... they mainly sell R4's. But it seems like there is a growing demand for R1's. Have your dealer call to check on the R1's again since the DX and TC come from the same place.
