No power Lt 1042

Totally ignorant on this subject. first time doing anything with it (worked great last year.)

Almost got it started... took out battery and got it charged. I then hooked it back up and now there is nothing. Could I have blown a fuse?

Verify that the terminals are hooked up to the wires they should be. But yes, I'd check the fuse.
