Hey guys,
Was at the dealer today getting some items for my 316. They had a 2010 2305 on the floor. I was looking it over and noticed JD kind of squared the hood a little on the newer models. IMO,looks pretty good. Slight throwback,eh.:)

Anyway,my parts guy tells me this is the last year for the 2305. It's going to have a different number designation, still in the 2000 series, just something new.
So the 2305 will become a collectors item.:D
Anyone else hear something along these lines.

Greg

why all the model changes? So people think they are all new and need to trade-up? :ashamed:

not sure, but i got a picture. :D Notice any differences? I see quite a few. New green MMM, possibly drive over deck, new diesel cap location on fender, new (possibly range or PTO selector) surrounded by black plastic on fender, black hoe stabilizers, FOLDABLE ROPS which are no longer mounted to the fender but to the tranny, seat has arm rests. I can see a lot in a picture.

User "BleedGreen" (a JD salesman) has eluded to this in a few threads in the past week...He can't/won't give details obviously but if you read between the lines it coming. Search for his post's if your interested.

looks like they are numbering them like the larger tractors. first numbers being frame size and last ones are the horsepower.....

Who me? :D

The 2305 will be all new for 2011. I should be able to talk more about it soon but in the meantime all I can say is that it looks to be a completely new unit. It will be baged as a "1000" series and I think (not know) that there will be two models, a standard "D" or "E" spec and a premium "M" or "R" spec. And yes, foldable ROPS will be available - probably as standard equipment on the premium unit.

The 2x20, 3x20 and 4x20 Series will not get the new numbering system until the units themselves go through a major revision - minor changes are not enough to get the new numbers - not changing just for the sake of change.

Have you heard when the 3x20's are going to get a major revision? Or any others in the line up's for that matter?

I have been pretty disappointed with my 2305, but sadly won't be able to trade it in on the new and improved version.
