no email alerts

A quick look at my inbox and deleted email folder on my pc and i see that i am no longer recieving email alerts from TBN.

My profile says i am signed up for instant email alerts.. and pm notification..

Any ideas?

When you reply to a thread. Is the Notification Type set at "Instant email notification" displayed in the window.

Yes. and I -used- to get alerts.. but it stopped.. perhaps over christmas time or so.

AT&T

Generally, 'problem' mail gets handles 2 ways.. it either goes in my 'spam' folder, which i check every day.. or i get a 'blocked'banned' message notification that email was blocked.

I just 'tripple' checked my spam blocker settings at AT&T again just to be sure. All email that is unverified is sent to my screened folder.

Known offenders are bounced.. etc.

Like i say.. There have been no TBN emails in my screened folder.. I empty it every night.

We were having trouble emailing to AT&T recently. They should've taken us off their blocking list. But may not have done that yet. I'll check again.

There is no reason for us to be on there, but these big companies are notorious for doing the minimum checking and just blocking with little investigation.

I hear ya. They blocked a magazine publisher I occasionally write for.. again.. not a spam source.. but he got blocked anyway.

According to ATT's admins, our IP isn't being blocked by them.

I'm going to try to set up a bounceback that I can look at to see if I can get an error message.

In the meantime, have you tried contacting your ISP? They might be a big big and unreachable, but they should be able to scoure their logs for you and maybe give a reason it's being blocked?

Yes I did.. and I'm at a loss as to where the emails are going. They also say that yuo are not on what they call a 'blacklist'. Normally I will get an administrative email from them listing a persons server if it has been 'banned for abuse' and an error code that I can email in to customer service for them to check out.. This recently happened with a magazine I write for.. they were blocking mail from my editor!!.. In any case, I check my screened and spam mail folders 2x per day, and have not seen a tbn message this year,. I keep all my deleted mail in a seperate folder for archival for a year, and don't see any tbn mail this year. I also checked my norton antispam, and it is not catching anything but hair growth and other 'growth' products and hot stock tips.. etc.

I'm baffled... i don't know what else to check. if you have any ideas, let me know and i will pursue them.
