We bought the BX2370 in early February this year and had a few problems:
1. The front hydraulic disconnects kept coming undone and after three visits from the dealer finally discovered that the plate that holds the connectors was mounted too far forward and the front right tyre grabbed the bracket when you did a right turn, of course while you are driving you can't see this but it was finally fixed after the bracket sheared off.
2. The bucket became slow on the curl.
Dealer came out several times and said there was no problem as the 2370 only had a low capacity pump nothing is going to happen quickly.
Yesterday we had our 50 hour service and after the 'don't care' attitude we went to another dealer, the first one couldn't even give us an estimated price.
Young bloke rolls up and introduces himself and asks if there are any problems, I tell him what has happened while he is busy pulling off the rear grille and cowling and he sticks his head underneath, 'here's the problem' he announces, the linkage between the lever and the valve under the cowling is loose with about 10mm of play, he takes off the nuts and lock washers and replaces them with nylock nuts, 'won't have that problem again' he announces.
He does a walk around the machine and notices scuff marks on the back right tyre, looks underneath and shakes his head in dismay, there are a group of hydraulic hoses which are just swinging in the breeze and have never been secured to the chassis, he fixes that in about 5 minutes then finds out the coolant has never been added to the overflow tank.
Took one and a half hours for the complete service and was very thorough, fixed all the problems that the other dealer said didn't exist and found a couple more.
I phoned up the dealer later in the day and commended the serviceman and suggested he give him a pay rise for such a thorough examination and description of what he found, I was extremely happy and know where I will be going for service in the future.
The other outfit took the tractor for a week looking for problems and said they had run it extensively and found nothing, there was only .1 of an hour on the meter from the time it left to the time I got it back, it is pretty poor when an organisation just don't give a **** after they have your money.
