Concur. Price seems out of whack on the 2230. I paid less for my zero hour 2006 ride. Price seems a little better on the 1500 (what a cute machine!) but with no FEL, what 'cha gonna do with it. First thing to do is add a FEL for $2,500 and you're right back to talking "real" money.

I'd buy a 1500 and leave it as is and have uses for it. I need a tractor for 3pt stuff and for hauling a dump trailer around, so that I don't have to take the backhoe off my BX24 while I'm in the middle of doing things that requiring hoeing and 3pt stuff. My Wheel Horse tractors can serve this purpose, but they're suddenly not so pleasurable to drive since getting a 2007 Kubota.

I guess I was thinking about something a little different like an ATV or a "Mule" that could have a hydraulic blade on the front and a hitch on the back. Even a Gator. Something that you can have some fun with outside of the normal chores. Not that 9.8 MPH isn't the most fun I've had in ages...just looking for a little 'more' sometimes.

Careful! Many stolen tractors end up at Car dealerships. If anyone inquires about this be sure to have a kubota dealer lookup the serial number.

Recently I came across 2 BX1500s with 48'' mower decks.
One is new. $7500 for it sounds like a steal.
The other one is used with 350 hours on it.$6000 don't sound to shabby for it.
*Put a used Tiller on the back and a used blade on the front.
* *I don't want no FEL on a BX1500 cause I already have one on my BX23.
* * *It's still a lot less for more tractor than $8300 for a glorified JD Garden tractor witout any mower.
