Well I can only speak for the L3130HST. I have owned one now for a year and have manged to sit in the seat for 75 hours. I use a 5' brush cutter and and a 5' back blade. I maintain my 10 acres of pasture and love the tractor for mowing. It is quiet, vibration free and the HST is very smooth. I have mowed hood high thick grass and the tractor does not flinch unless I have to climb a steep hill while mowing then I have to slow down and rev her up a little. The seat and general operatores platform is comfortable and everything is in reach. The HST pedal takes little effort to depress and is in a good location. The only thing I kind of hate is the fuel tank. It takes some strong steady arms to dump a 5 gallon fuel can into the tank inlet located in the hood.....but the tank is out of the way of any hazards you may come into contact with! All in all I really enjoy my tractor and would recommend it to anyone shoppping for that size unit. Good luck!

I have two Kubota's but they are both smaller than the L3130...

The NH has a nice hood/loader design...

The BH90 backhoe on the L3130 is pretty nice if you want a backhoe sometime...

It all depends on you really I suppose. I bet they are both great tractors...unfortunately, too much tractor for the property I have... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I use both NH & Kubota, although both are smaller than you are looking at. (TC24D w/12LA and B2910 w/LA402)

IF you are planning on doing a lot of loader work, then I would tip the hat to the TC33DA because I believe the FELs on the NH units, combined with the sloped and curved hoods, are vastly superior to the Kubotas in terms of visibility during actual working conditions when using a FEL. I didn't realize the difference until I spent a few days working to clear out a field behind my warehouse, I was using the Kubota and was shocked by how bad the visibility is forward with the long flat rectangular hood combined with the squared off loader arms. You get used to something and don't realize how good or bad it is, until you have a reference point that is SO MUCH better that it just blows you away. That is what happened to me. When you hop on a machine and use the loader for 15 minutes, you don't really notice it, but when you sit on it long enough to get a sore backside then you realize the shortcomings compared to the other design.

John Deere is rolling out their new curved arm loader, but if you compare the arms of the JD to the NH you can see that they are not raked down nearly as steeply, so that they still don't provide the view the NH gives. When I drop my NH bucket to the ground, I can see most of the bucket, that is a very large advantage in real world working conditions.

But beyond that, I cannot give you any other specific information about which is better. Both are excellent brands, if the dealers are excellent then you have a tough choice.

I hear ya. I'm seriously thinking of getting a tank.
I have a small length of clear tubing to help out the nozzle on my plastic jug and if I stand on something it isn't too bad, but not like resting the jug on the loader arm of a B7500.
Other than that I LOVE the 3130. I hate to say it, but I'm almost looking forward to plowing some snow with it. It almost seems to get better fuel consulption than my old B7500, probably from not working it as hard.

Hey, if the dealers are right next to each other maybe they'll let you hook both tractors up back to back and see who outpulls who. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I hear all of you
I have also looked at all the previous threads with L3130 vs JD.
I haven't looked at JD cause I am confused already
NH33 or NH35 or L3130
Might have to have a three way tractor pull /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Can't say much about the New Holland CUTs. They are hard to find where I live. I can say that my Kubota Grand L3430 HSTC is the best designed and most satisfying tractor experience I have ever had. I am in complete agreement with hillslider's comments and would add that if you can afford it, add the factory cab. It makes a great tractor even better. I also have the 723 FEL and have absolutely no problems with visibilty. The bucket is easy to see and you will become a proficient operator in no time.

I don't know if the NH has a one or two pedal hydro, but IMO the single pedal provides much faster cycle times when doing FEL work or just maneuvering around abstacles with a RFM or other 3pt attachments. In addition the skid steer quick attach on the 723 FEL is worth its weight in gold. Changing FEL attachments couldn't be easier. Also allows you to rent/borrow many Bobcat attachments that you would never lay out money to purchase.

Good Luck with your purchase.

A clean 30 gallon barrel with a hand fuel pump (fromTSC) using an auto-shutoff end works well. A full barrel fills the tractor 3 times. Two people or your FEL can load and unload the barrel if delivery is not available. The pump, barrel and even a dolly should be less than $100.00. Make sure you time your fills so you have winter diesel in the barrel going into cold times of the year.
