Greetings,
I'm new to the forum and need a little help with an issue on my TC30. I live on PEI Canada, it's cold brr. I had my tractor parked outside for a few hours after blowing snow etc in cold temps -25C (-13F) with windchill. This is a 2007 and never had a HST problem. However when starting it later that day HST oil leaked out of the left hand-side HST filter. I needed a HST oil change so bought NAPA filters and NEw Holland approved oil. Not cheap. On removing the old filter is was not that tight so thought that this was the issue. However after replacing the filters and oil and started up the tractor, within a minute the HST filter on the left stated leaking again. Temps are around -11C (12F) so my thought is that the old oil is still congealed in the lines or something. I did turn the tractor over to drain the pipes prior to fitting new filters. The new spec oil is much thinner than old oil and is rated for -25C (-13F)
I'm in a jam, storm is on us and need to blow. It's Friday grrr. Please advice from anyone with good knowledge of HST would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards to all.
