I'm looking to buy a compact tractor to mow my 6 acres and other odds and ends around the house. Looking at the New HOlland TC21D and Kubota B7500, both look like nice tractors but not sure if there is a big difference between the two. The Kubota is approximately $1500 cheaper and dealership is closer. Anybody know of any gleaning benefits of one over the other? Thanks for any respones.....

This one has come up many times. Major differences mostly fall to favor the B7500, although the TC21 does have position control, which is a make or break situation for many. I think the B7500 does have a power advantage too, plus a little more hydraulic capacity. Check also with 70boss, who struggled mightliy with the PC issue. He finally went with the B7500, but it took him quite a while. He may have kept notes on the whole ordeal.

BTW - I've got the B7500HSD, and she's a beauty. I love Lucy.... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

DAVE: few months ago i struggled with same decison. although i got the kubota i size up from 7500 i would have bought the b7500 as compared to tc21, can't give u any one particular reason, just after looking at them for a few months , just thought i liked the 7500 better. both are fine machines. u have to make the decision. Dave,
I recently had the same decision between the b7500 and the tc21 I test drove both and chose the Kubota the Hydro was smoother the lack of position control has not been an issue to me and I am new to tractoring I to have 6 acres and use mine mostly to mow 3 acres and bush hog 3. Many have said the position control is helpful when bush hogging the lack of was not a problem I really like mine. Purchased for $11,800 with foldable ROBS 3 suitcase weights Woods 6000 RD and a Howse 4 ft bush hog. Good Luck!

Dave, Just my two cents, I chose the TC 21 D over the B 7500. The dealer I bought my NH from also sold KUB. I thought the the NH more heavily built and just liked it better. You certainly won't go wrong either way. If you don't need the position control the B 7500 will go easier on your budget though. Try them both and also the JD 4100.

Going to the Kubota dealer tomorrow and try out the B7500, have only looked at the 7400 because it was in stock. He's suppose to have the 7500 in tomorrow. I agree they are both good tractors for my needs, just making sure I havent overlooked anything..... at least I get to play with both of them for a while, - while I'm making up my mind....

Banjobj, I'm wrestling between the TC25D (no supersteer) and the B2710. I really like the looks and ergos of the NH but the Kubota following makes me wonder...

Dealer is asking $12800 for a used w/ 113 hours. Has a mower. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Dave

I also went through the same process and I have about the same requirements for the tractor as you. I went for the b7500 with 302 fel and 60"mmm over the NH. I thought both were good machines. Made my decision primarily based on cost (b7500 at least $1500 less) and I didn't care about the position control. Also looked at JD 4100 but that was even more $$$ than the NH with no significant advantages.

Good luck. Tractors are fun.
