NH has a Quick-attach system. I know nothing about it. It looks proprietary; I suspect it will only work with NH implements. Just guessing.

They have a front mounted snow blower and snow plow that uses this Quick-attach system.

I am really asking two questions. Is the Quick-attach system a good idea and does it lock me into implements from only NH? And second, is it better to use non NH implements such as a snow plow and blower?

NH has a front end loader quick attach that is the standard skid steer style. This is a must have in my book (maybe not for others). You can drop the bucket and pick up a set of pallet forks etc.

They also have the front mounted quick attach systems that lets you attach their own blower and blade and a couple other attachments. I don't know much about this system, but if you want a front mounted blower it looks pretty nice. I prefer a front mounted snow blower, but they tend to be pricey.

As Aesanders said, it's the most widely used mounting system in the industry. John Deere and Kubota have their own proprietary system (the skidsteer system is an option with them), but the NH system is a standard for skid steer implements.

When I bought my tractor it wasn't available, but I added it last year and it's the most useful thing on my tractor. I have a bucket with toothbar, a bucket with a smooth cutting edge, a rock bucket grapple, a bale spear, and a 3PH adapter I can put on the loader to hook up 3PH implements on the front. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Bob NHs Quick-Attach system has saved us many hours since the purchase of our tractor. We had the dealer install ours at the time of purchase.

We use a set of pallet forks almost as much as the bucket & hydraulic grapple. It's also a breeze for attaching the snow plow which is something that didn't see a lot of service this particular winter.

Our TC40DA came from the factory w/the Bobcat compatible quick attach on the loader. It's super easy to change from a bucket to forks with this setup & we really like it.

I have a set of Bobcat brand pallet forks on my TC45DA and they fit perfect on the quick attach. At the national farm show the New Holland area had an electric actuator that would open and close both handles on the quick attach. Implements could be changed from the seat of the tractor with the flip of a switch. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gifDidn't catch the price though.

I just ordered the QA on the 114 loader for my DX-29. It takes a slightly different bucket, costs about $200 if I recall correctly.

I didn't know there was a QA 3 point adapter. Where did you get it, or did you make it? I was considering modifying some of my 3 point attachments so I could use them with the QA, but an adapter seems like a much better way to go.

I actually bought mine from my NH dealer. I even think it's a NH implement. It was around $250 and very heavily made.

I've been less than thrilled with its ability to fit a wide range of 3PH implements. Currently, I have a bale spear, boom pole, and subsoiler that work on it. I was hoping to be able to hook up a 3PH dirtscoop and use it like a very narrow shovel bucket, but it turns out my scoop's 3PH pins are too wide for the adapter. After all, your lift arms can swing in and out on the 3PH to fit a wide variety of implement widths. The 3PH QA adapter is made for the "standard" width of 26" between pins. Its width is not adjustable. It works very much like a Speco quick hitch adapter for the 3PH.

So I'd say if you go into your purchase knowing the dimensions of your implements will work, then it is money well spent. If you find out it won't work after buying it, then you may be disappointed. I can adapt my dirtscoop to work with the adapter, but I haven't got "a round tuit" as they say. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I was thinking along the lines of welding a "female" or implement side adapter to my 3 point carry-all so it would fit either end of the tractor.

The second project would be to remove my rear blade from the 3 point frame and mount it to another female adapter so I can put it on the loader arms. Then I could rig a cylinder to the blade, plumb it to the lines for the grapple and hydraulically turn the blade with the control for the rear valve while adjusting height and tilt with the loader controls. It just seems like it would be the best snow and light dirt moving device this side of a dozer.

Doc Bob, with all due respect to everyone who has posted before me, I think they misunderstand you post.

While they are all correct that NH has a standarized skid steer QA system for their FEL, I believe your question is in reference to the Quick Attach system that is used for the NH front mount implmenets that are NOT mounted on the FEL arms.

If I understand your question correctly then let me state that the front implement QA system is proprietary and used for their Snow Blower, Rotary Broom, and front snow/gravel blade. It is also very very unlikely that you will find those implements as aftermarket implements that will fit on the front of your tractor. The QA system is available for the a wide range of TZ and TC Boomer tractors. The one TC that it may not (I simply don't know) be availabe for is the TC30. But I know the system works from everything up to at least the TC45 and possibly beyond that size. The attached photo shows the QA system on the front of a little TZ New Holland.

If I misunderstand your post and you want a REAR mounted Snow Blower, then you can buy any brand of 3pt blower, some are better some are worse but a 3pt hitch is a universal attachment system.
