NH 69 Bales misshaped

I have a NH 69 Hay baler that I restored. I baled my first 180 bales this weekend. 100 out of the 180 bales came out misshaped and fell apart. can anyone help? I was told to check the hay dogs what do they do?

The dogs keep the bale compressed while it's being formed. My MF124 baler is similar to yours and has 3 dogs on top and 2 dogs on the bottom of the bale chamber.



The dogs are spring-loaded and can get jammed with hay. So you have to clean them out periodically.

You can also add wedges to the side walls of the bale chamber to get better bale compression.



My 124 can accommodate 3 pairs of wedges. Only one pair came with the baler so I made extra wedges.
