I would also have to agree that it is very limited in the side pressure department.

The older model #7's and the earlier generations of #8's and #8A's all had the chain link system of swing cylinders.

As a result, they were also prone to breakage. Corrosion and wear from dirt, rocks, mud could lead to early failure if care and preventative maintenance are not high on the "TO-DO" list.

In addition, it's not recommended that you use the swing cylinders to move the rear of the tractor from side to side to reposition the hoe. The chains would break with that kind of use.
