Kubota?
I am in the process of buying a Kubota on Monday
I am trying to choose between a bx2360 and a 2320 compact
I have 2 acres which is half flat and half slopped.
I want to do farm work , some plowing , landscaping.
I do not want to big or to small so torn.
are sub compacts real tractors?
the 2320 feels like a real tractor

Welcome to TBN. Join the fun:thumbsup:
Yes, SCUTs are real tractors (pto, 3 point hitch, diesel engines). Either of those Kubota tractors will work well for you on 2 acres. My first tractor was a new 2005 Kubota B7510HST (21 hp engine, 17 hp pto, 4WD, power steering, hydrostatic tranny) with the LA302 FEL (4-ft wide bucket, about 800 lb lift) which worked fine for mowing and general work around my 10 acre place. Cost new: $12.6K plus tax.

It was too small for serious plowing, discing, etc on my 6-acre hayfield so I traded it in for a much larger 2008 Mahindra 5525 (55 hp engine, 45 hp pto, 2WD, power steering, gear tranny 8F/2R) with the ML250 FEL (6-ft wide bucket, 2950 lb lift to 10.5 ft height).

Those little Kubota tractors can handle a single 12 or 14 inch moldboard plow. I put in landscaping around my new house in 2006 using that little B7510HST, a middle buster plow and a 4-ft wide rototiller to prepare the ground for seeding. YOu could do the same with one of those Kubotas you mentioned.

Good luck.

Thanks Flusher. Looks like you are in my general neck of the woods. I think either way will be great. Being on a partly slopped area with trees I liked the handling of the Sub but feel the B2320 is probably more of what I want just worried its a little to much tractor for what I have. I like that its higher but that is also my issue. even know I believe its wider the BX felt more stable on a slope when I was driving it.

:welcome: Some dealers will bring a tractor your looking at to the farm and let you try them out. Maybe you could ask if the dealer your working with has that kind of program? Can't hurt to ask all they can say is no, but at least try to demo the units at the dealership. That will give you a better feel for the tractor versus just sitting on them. Good luck.

yeah I drove each one for about 15 minutes at the dealer. I don't think they could fit a 2 trailer tractor on my driveway and turn around.
I think both would be great. Each will not be perfect.
the only perfect thing would be to have more property and have both lol

Ah Hangtown--nice place. I get there once a year usually in Nov to do a little Christmas shopping on Apple Hill.

My 10-acre place is flat pasture so hills are not an issue. If they were, I'd use my 1964 Massey Ferguson 135 diesel and feel completely safe.

Good luck and be careful out there.

G'day and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Enjoy the site... if you can afford it, go for the larger HP tractor as it's always good to have 'more' and not need it than the other way around.
