I am looking at trading in my 930r for a new z994 with tweels. Anyone have one of these? Likes, dislikes? The thing I do not like is it does not offer the push button deck raise that I have now. I really like this feature and use it a lot where I mow. My other option is the dealer has a 2018 kubota 1211 zd diesel with 75 hours. It does have the hydraulic lift. Robust build compared to the Deer. Anyone have opinions either way on this one? Thanks

If I had the choice to make, I wouldn't sacrifice my hydraulic lift over the old manual foot device. The Z944r with a price tag of $17,874.00 with a 24 hp water cooled diesel doesn't gain anything over your 25.5 hp gas engine on the Z930r model. If you notice, there nothing else changes on the Z994r over the Z930r.

My Z710A with 54" manual foot lift is a problem child for my age, and wish every day that I had a hydraulic lift. Should you make the trade, you might wish you hadn't.

Subscibed, as I'm interested in the 994R as well

Decided to get the z970r with 60inch deck. 72 would not work well for the crap I mow. I tried running the z994 around in my yard. Too be honest it seemed to be under powered with 60 inch deck. Really slowed on the hills. I think on flat it would be fine. I researched the engine specs. It does not put out anymore hp or torque compared to my 930. Add the fact it weighs about 450 more lbs. When you first start it even after glow plugs warm up it shakes worse than a old Harley with bad plugs. Sounds like it is going to shake apart. After about 30 seconds or so it smooths out and is really quiet and smooth. That was with it being in my shop about 60 degrees. After using the z930r for past 4 years the foot deck lift on the z994 is a big disappointment. Why Deere dropped that on the z994 is a stupid move in my opinion. I would not want to mow all day and have to raise the deck with my foot. I use the hydraulic button a lot and to me that is required equipment. I’m getting too old for a leg work out. This is just my opinion. I’m not bashing the 994 but it is not for me.
