Due to California EPA restriction's at end of year , had to trade-in my 2003 Classic for this 2009 Cascadia .It is good till 2023 for EPA regulations , don't see me keeping it that long though . We Depreciate 5 years , so after that you take a beating from the tax man . Thus 5 years from now , will be going down this path again , ( if I live that long  , As they say " Sh** Happens !! )

I was concerned about hooking up my Sirius radio as it had a XM brand in there . I was under the assumption that the 2 had different antenna's , unless you bought a specific type . Pulled xm stereo out , and it had regular radio antenna and separate xm antenna . So swapped out xm radio with my regular radio then plugged xm antenna into my Sirius receiver and plugged output into front aux. jack on regular am/fm receiver . I'll be Da**** , Works like a champ .:cool2:

Detroit DD15 powered . Cat got out of the OTR engine business , To much EPA B.S. , and not enough gain in income to offset the expense of keeping up with the changing Air regulations .

Will take some pictures of the engine with hood open and try to get some inside . With hood open , it is like " Holy Cr** ! , All that fits under that hood !! .

Only other hiccup has been when I first traded in other truck and drove this monday . Other truck was a 13 speed , this one is a 10 . CRA* !! Was like a moron driving , Was so used to pattern on old truck that this was really different , ( Course I do the same in my old 4 speed Ford , I get to fourth gear , then reach again for the stick , trying to flip the button and go for next gear . Better half just cracks up when I pull it out of fourth and start looking for the next gear without even looking down :ashamed: ) .

Been doing this since '98 , was just tired of B.S. working for others , dictating when I could take time off , etc... . Now , I want to go home , I go home , ( at least till I spend to much , then have to go make money again  ) .

I hear ya there! I gave up the OTR O/O thing more than 10 years ago. I loved the 13 speed. At one time I had three different rigs on the road - one with a 13 speed, one with a 15 direct and another with 15 overdrive (upside down shift pattern). Switching back and forth from one truck to another, it was hard for an old geezer to remember what I was driving and not look and sound like a rookie.

Fred, your new ride looks sharp. Many happy and profitable miles with it!
