Today I had to mulch some dead hardwood logs that were away to big and hard for the mulcher to handle. Necessity being the mother of invention I decided to have a crack at them with the stumpgrinder. I knew that grinding them end on wasn't an option because the logs roll around to much so I attacked then at 90degs and chewed across, moved the machine along a width and did the same until the logs got small enough that the mulcher could handle. Worked out an absolute treat.
