New tractor :)

I started thinking about trading in my BX2350 over 2 years ago. The abrupt stop bothered me and the cracking plastics concerned me. I learned to live with the abrupt stop and was careful to not step on the deck edges to avoid cracking the deck. Washing the tractor the other day I found that despite all my care, my deck had cracked. So, after much deliberation and the many posts from other B2320 owners (Thanks), I'm moving up to a B2320 with FEL and 60" MMM. I can't say anything bad about the BX and I''ll be sad to see it go but I'm looking forward to the upgrade. The reports from other owners helped me a lot in my decision, so once it's here, there will be pictures and another owners report on the differences. I'll do my best to be as unbiased as I can. Mowing reports will have to come in the spring as we've had our first snow here and plowing is next .
For those of you close to the Vermont area, I'd also like to highly recommend my dealer. Giddings Equipment in Pittsford, VT. has been fantastic to deal with. Bob, the owner really knows tractors, is super honest, gives great prices, and really tries to help you out. When I've had problems, they've been taken care of and made right. I'm big on customer service and they are A+ in my book. Just an option for those wanting to deal closer to home.

Congratulations. I'm sure you will like it. I bet you found BP's comparison interesting. I did.

Two small things to keep in mind as you adjust to the new tractor. If you park it in a garage with a normal height garage door, it won't go in with the ROPs in full up. I keep mine folded 45 deg back from vertical. Also, If you have trees you mow under, those branches you were mowing under with the bx may now be head high or again looking to grab the ROPS.

Congratulations on pulling the trigger. I'm sure you will love it. It's an upgrade I periodically consider, but I'd likely be sleeping in the shed with it if I did make the exchange. Need to work on the "sell" job to my wife. :laughing:

Mowing under branches with the fixed ROPS of my BX is one issue I have and I'd be curious if the folded ROPS of the Bxx20 series is lower than the fixed height of your BX2350.

I don't get the tractor til sometime next week. Good reminder about the ROPs. My dealer had the new decks in stock as he said they were "fix as needed" and was a free fix even on a 4 year old tractor. I'd been casting a wandering eye toward the B for 2 years and the cracking deck just got me to the dealer faster with the "What if's?" Since The trade difference isn't that much, I also got $700 towards the deal for not taking the financing. Even the boss is on board with the trade. First report soon!

The tractor was delivered an hour ago. First impression is it's big. Compared to the BX it seems much longer and taller though the width feels the same. On the BX I felt more like I sat in the tractor where on the B I feel like I'm perched up on top. I now talk down to people where I used to be at eye level. The loader control seems much quicker and being able to use it at idle is nice. The location of the lever seems much more natural to me. I'll have to adjust to the location of things and get used to the ergos. The tip of my boot got caught behind the brake pedal when letting off on the forward pedal.
Thankfully I remembered the ROPs before flying into the garage as it's an inch too high to fit. Bet I have a post on that sometime in the future. The 3 ranges is nice but H is definitely travel only with no decent hills. M seems to work well around the yard, haven't tried L yet.
Access to things seems much easier under the hood. Haven't taken the loader off but looks to be a tighter fit to get at the connections.
Hope to get out and use it soon to better report. I will say I was sad to see the BX go. It did everything I needed and did it well. It really felt like an extension of me when I was on it. Hopefully the new one becomes that familiar as well. Not complete without pics!

Looks great. Very nice setting too.

The easy way to do the connections on the loader is back it out a little then shut it off and disconnect the connections. Same thing with hooking it up. Line up then stop short a little to give yourself some room to get your hands in there.
