I wanted to tell everyone thanks who answered my questions on the 4720 over the last few months. I could not strike a deal i liked with deere, so i ended up with the branson 6530 cab/loader and grapple. They gave me a great trade in on my smaller branson and ended up with 30 and change total in tractor.

Not having a choice of trannies on the cabbed 4720 (hydro only) makes it more expensive than many competing models. For those who don't want/need hydro it's a tough sell for Deere.

That Branson sure looks nice

Our local Charlottesville Power Equipment company moved from a tiny location on Market Street to a much bigger place on hwy 29. They used to carry Branson tractors. In walking by there today, I nothing they've switched to MF. They also still have Ventrac.

Congratulations on your new tractor and on walking away from an unacceptable deal. It's a buyer's market, and anyone wanting to sell you a tractor (or just about anything else) needs to grasp that fact.

Marco, it is a buyers market, but it should not influence you when deciding on the tractor needs and choice. When you amortize with the zero interest programs that are out there, you can spend more $ for the initial purchase but recoup the value over a extended period of time. When purchasing, remember dealers do not have great margins to start with as it was 15 years ago and if you strike a better deal, there are consequences sometimes.
