2010 Kubota MX5100 HST 4WD
Well I took delivery this morning of my new 2010 MX5100 HST. I got the quick attach FEL, and bucket, and 4X4. I got the R4 tires and had the rears loaded. It has the grille guard and best of all.....ORANGE.

There are 5 dealers within 80 miles of me, and I checked with all of them. The best deal came from the dealer closest to me. They were awesome to work with and the service department is very reputable.

I bought a 6 ft Land Pride land plane with the tractor, for keeping my 1/4 mile driveway in good shape. Wont have it until next week. I wound up getting about 14% off sticker on tractor and loader, and about 30% off of the land plane.

I have a 6.5 X 16 tandem axle trailer with 2 3500# axles under it. It is a heavy duty trailer rated from the manufacturer to carry 6,000#. I called them and they said if the tractor would fit on the trailer it should be no problem, as long as it was only occasional hauls. What do you guys think?

Did I mention it is HST, awesome! even my wife can drive this thing. I am going to do some much needed hole filling tomorrow.

Welcome to TBN. I stopped by a Kubota dealer the other day and looked the MX5100HST over real good and they are really nice machines. I like the set you have. Did you get rear hydraulic outlets for any hydraulic cylinders? I bought a L4400 HST and if the MX5100 had been available when I bought I would have bought that instead.

Thanks guys. This forum was very helpful when searching for the right machine for me.
The HST is amazing for loader work. The only thing I wish I had gotten was the heavy duty bucket, just to be safe. I will keep you posted on its operation.

I have a 2005 MX5000, same basic machine, mine of course is gear

How much more $ is it for the HST over the standard transmission ?

You 'll have fun with this, they re good size machine yet still nimble enough

Looks like the new tractor has its own security detail in the foreground!

Always liked the MX as a basic, rugged tractor. Now with the conventional HST, to me it looks a lot like the L10 series that I bought some years ago, although you've got about 10% more hp... probably 10% more tractor in general. Doesn't have the hi-tech electronics and HST, but just a reliable, hard-working tractor. Enjoy!

That is a very nice tractor, but it is far too clean. A little mud and a few scratches will make it feel at home...
