Lot to like about the Mahindra. I really like the 16" front wheels. That said, I would probably go Kioti if the money is the same. They usually have better fit and finish. They both have good warranties.

I have had good luck with my Kioti and have no personal experience with Mahindra. But friends who have them really like their tractors. I would be looking for an established dealer with a good reputation and that would be the brand I would go with.

Of course I am partial to Kioti but the truth is that any name brand tractor with the features you want will do the job.

I'd go with the Kioti. Mahindra seems to be a little all over the place on some of their platforms to me.

RSKY is right. Any main brand tractor is going to be very solid. Kioti and Mahindra just have better pricing. I have Mahindra, but I too was between them and Kioti. I actually liked the Kioti better, much neater and sleek, rode better, more pretty etc. Very nice operators station. Not as heavy or solid as Mahindra (Mahindra just seems like a bunch of heavy steel bolted together and then they put operator controls wherever they can stick them haha) but I would have picked Kioti if the dealer that I was looking at wasn't such a bunch or rejects. No other Kioti dealer close enough. I was looking at heavier class of tractors than what you have in mind, but I looked at all the models and I generally drew the same impression across all ranges of size.

I really like my Mahindra. I too considered Kioti and LS when I was looking to purchase. Kioti wasn't a good option for me because the closest dealer was too far away. LS was a serious consideration for me because I really liked the fit and finish of their tractors.

I chose Mahindra because at the end of the day, I was buying a tractor to get work done on my land and I felt that Mahindra had a better product to get that work done.

I was interested in the 1526 myself and never found the "fit or finish" to be a problem. The 1526 did make a lot of noise though when compared to the 2538 and although I couldn't say for sure it seems to make more noise than the Kubota 2501. I would love to see the Kioti brand because so many people say the fit and finish is good. However, weight is more important to me than fit and finish and dealer location will likely rule out Kioti.

Have to wonder though if people who say that Mahindra is not as well built as Kubota or Deere and that the fit and finish isn't as good have compared them lately. The L (non grand) Kubota's are pretty basic and don't appear to be any better or worse then Mahindra.

I was looking at multiple different tractors in this size category, lower hp, bigger frame. I came down to the kubota l2501 and the kioti ck2610. There was a mahindra dealer just getting them instock and starting up. It was an older dealer that has been a new holland dealer for over 40 years. I pulled through to check out the mahindras, they looked like nice tractors. Especially the mitsubushi built ones( which the 1526 is). The tym manufactured ones looked good too. Prices on lot were more on mitsubushi than tym for many reasons. But the one thing i noticed was that the tractors were out in the sun for like a month and there was already noticeable paint fades and pink plastic. Not really a big deal but it didnt sell me on the paint. But To be fare, i was already leaning kioti, mainly due to price and more features over kubota. I may have given the mahindra more thought if the dealer had them a little longer than a month. Didnt want them to not sell any and move on to another manufacturer and be stuck without a dealer anywhere local. I dont think you could go wrong tho, those mitsubishi built tractors are pretty tough. I used to use one at the university as a mini spray rig for test plots. But that one was the cub cadet line.

I was looking at new tractors last month. Larger than you are. I went to a large farm show and video's each model. I came down to Mahindra and Kioti. The Kioti was less money. I went Mahindra for a few reasons. The tractor was built heavier, larger tires, heavier front axle, more lift. I went with a cabbed model and the cab on the Kioti was a cheaper plastic. I liked the layout except where the 3 point hitch lever is. I could not get my hand between the seat and the cab side. I make my living with the 3pt hitch. The Kioti was certainly a contender no doubt. I could have purchased it and been happy I think. When I drove the 60hp model it was quiet and smooth. Quieter than my new Mahindra I believe. The one thing I question about it was the motor size. Much smaller than the Mahindra and turning more rpm. It is difficult to find a torque chart on any of these tractors but I am thinking a larger motor turning less revs should equal more torque. I like torque. The Kioti dealer was an hour from me and the Mahindra dealer is less than 10 minutes. When ordering a tractor that is this much money I went there more than once. I then went again when it came it. I went again to check to make sure it was all set before they brought it to me. I drive by them all the time. This was important to me. I do not think you could go wrong with either brand. I will say one thing that did concern me is what if I did not like the Kioti after I got it? It is possible but not likely. Where would I trade it. They are not popular here like Mahindra. I would lose my shirt if I did not like it but again I did not see that happening.
